About Dyffryn Cennen

Dyfryn Cennen covers some 4,100 hectares, consisting mostly of agricultural land with some villages and hamlets.

The population of 1,205 is mainly concentrated in the villages of Ffairfach, Trapp and Drefach.

Within easy distance of the M4 it lies in the middle of Carmarthenshire and largely in the Brecon Beacons National Park, nestling between the River Towy to the north and the Black Mountains to the east.

The western border is a continuation of the beautiful Towy valley and the eastern edges depicts the last of the  rolling agricultural fields before joiing the more urbanised and industrial areas of the County.

The Heart of Wales railway line passes through the area with a station at Ffairfach.
